Jesus gave Himself as a ransom for us (see 1 Tim. 2:6). If He could endure the cross for the joy that was before Him (see Heb. 12:2), we can endure the reproach of this world for that which is in store for us.
Isaiah 35:10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return,
And come to Zion with singing,
With everlasting joy on their heads.
They shall obtain joy and gladness,
And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
