Fleeing Fornication.

Joseph had Potiphar’s wife to plague him. John the Baptist had Herod’s conniving mistress. Paul had a persistent demon-possessed woman follow him for “many days.” So, beware of your Jezebel. She may come to you with fluttering eyes and a promise of pleasure, but her agenda is your downfall. Her soft, inviting bed leads to Hell. If you can’t resist her, run as Joseph ran. Flee fornication. King David could have saved himself and others much pain if he had heeded such advice.

1 Kings 19:1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, also how he had executed all the prophets with the sword. 2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.” 3 And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.
