Attending a wedding for a gay couple?

Is there a difference in attending a wedding for a gay couple and one for a couple that is living together? What about if the bride is pregnant?

The moral Law is spiritual, so anyone who has as much as looked with lust has committed adultery in the heart (see Matt. 5:27,28). It is therefore not unreasonable to conclude that in some way every couple has sinned sexually in God’s eyes—whether they are physical adulterers, adulterers-at-heart, or fornicators, pregnant or not. However, by getting legally married they are fulfilling God’s plan for a man and a woman, because He is the One who sanctioned the institution of marriage (see Gen. 2:24, Matt. 19:5,6). Every wedding I have attended falls into this category.

However, “marriage” between homosexuals has never been sanctioned by God. Marriage is God’s institution and He said it is between a man and a woman. Two men or two women cannot be married. So when gays are “joined together in holy matrimony,” it is as meaningless as a man being married to his dog or cat, hoping for God’s blessing on bestiality. God has never authorized such a union, nor such behavior. God’s Word says, “If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination” (Lev. 20:13).

Deuteronomy 7:3 Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son.

It is about CIVIL MARRIAGE not your particular religion’s “Holy Matrimony”

    Please stay on topic.

  2. Bill says:

But, you left off the part of the scripture where it calls for gay people to be put to death.

    Why is that?

If you TRULY believe the bible, then surely you MUST believe that gay people should be killed.

If you do not believe gay people should be killed for being gay, then you don’t REALLY believe the bible, do you, Mr. Comfort?

I seek your clarification on this issue, please.

  3. Larry Gist says:

AH!! But the difference is that the homosexuals are not entering into “holy matrimony” they are entering into a “civil marriage.” They are two completely separate things, you might want to look up the difference. That could put this whole debate to rest once and for all…

Thankfully I don’t have to care what your god or your religion thinks as it is not law of the USA nor is it declared the supreme according to the 1st Amendment. 😁 Thanks but no thanks.

Thanks but no thanks. Your religion is NOT everyone’s.

  6. Hdtex says:

Who said anything about “holy matrimony” you dumbass. We wanted and got civil marriage. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to tell the difference. Go back to deepthroating your bananas.

  7. Jeff Knight says:

To conclude with Dueteronomy 7:3..Revelation 21:8 say…the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable (<-there it is), and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

  8. The Savior says:

You are the abomination that ig going to be put to death you mentally diseased non-human Heinrich Himmler wannabe. Hanged at the neck until dead for your crimes against humanity.
