“How can anyone believe in a talking snake?”

I am sure a talking parrot, three hundred people flying through the sky in a big tin can called a jumbo jet, a human being growing inside another person, and men walking on the moon don’t sound logical to the uninformed. However, science and technology have given the word “logical” a completely different meaning than it had one hundred years ago.

Some people are limited by the confines of what they see as logic. However, when we are born again, the Supernatural takes logic into a new realm. When we discover that the Supernatural is a reality our mind is suddenly expanded.

Animals could easily talk—if the Supernatural is involved. A man could easily live in the stomach of a “great fish” if it was “prepared” by the God who made it, as the Bible says it was. A virgin could easily become pregnant if the One who made the virgin was involved. And walking on water is a breeze…when God is manifest in human form.

Numbers 22:28 Then the Lord opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, “What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?”

Alternatively, it is reasonable to consider that in an equally amazing way, the story is about Lucifer deceiving man at the beginning. Adam follows Eve into sin, lured not by a ‘serpent’ but by a ‘shining one’; who’s description later becomes a good reason for using the word for “snake” to describe a type of reptile which God has made.

Thanks for your ministry Ray. All these years and whatever the Lord may yet afford us. You are a faithful witness.

This post is more evidence that the line between religion and mental illness is very blurry?
