Which Bible is right?

Skeptics often ask which Bible is right, and point to the fact that there are many versions. The implication is that each one is different, and therefore they have no credibility. How can they if they differ? They are right about the number of versions—there are thousands. There are Chinese versions for Chinese speakers, Russian versions the Russian people, Arabic versions, Korean versions, and so on. There are translations in modern English and in very old English. There are paraphrases, revised versions, large print, pocket size, Greek and Hebrew versions, and even an Amplified version. In fact, the Bible is the most translated book in the world, with at least some portion of it available in over 2,400 languages, spoken by 98 percent of the world’s population. All of these have been written so that people of any nation or culture can have access to and understand the Word of God. However, each translation is based on the original biblical texts. Due to the Dead Sea Scrolls, we can know that these texts are reliable.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

Do yourself a favor and get a Holy Bible, an Authorized Version King James Bible. That giant Bible that Ray Comfort had was a KJV. Anyone that says they have the original manuscripts is a liar. There are only copies of copies. The Eunuch in Acts 8 had a copy of the scriptures, not originals. Jesus read copies of scriptures in the synagogues, not originals. Were these copies, scripture? My Bible says yes. Do you have the scriptures? I do.
Ecclesiastes 8:4 King James Version: Where the word of a king is, there is power:
Modern translations leave out scriptures, change words, leave out words and change meanings. If you speak English, I pray that you look into this with your eyes opened. You are betting your life on it. How did Jesus deal with the temptations of Satan? He quoted scriptures. If I am going to memorize scriptures, it won’t be from NIV, NASB, NLT of MSG. Look at Luke 2:33 and compare. All these modern versions write that Joseph is the father of Jesus.
Look at NKJV Acts 3:13 and it states that Jesus is God’s servant; but my Bible says Jesus is God’s SON.
It is only a matter of life or death. Please research this for yourself. Only KJV uses the word STUDY in 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Are you going to be diligent or study God’s Word?
I pray that you receive this as a message of love and that you do not run your race to only to find that you had been deceived.

Base it on the original text . Sometimes a thought for thought translation won’t give you its true intentional meaning . Looking things up and comparing , studying to show one approved unto God is necessary . God bless you .

  3. Some translations are more accurate than others. I like NASV and ESV.

I love your teaching Ray..but this one you missed completely. The bibles that are coming out today are dangerous to read. For they have left out much in the way of scriptures, ie leaving out important sentences, and words. The only ‘safe’ bible and close to the original Hebraic translation is the KJV. and the new American standard bible even the NKJV has it’s problems…if you would go online and check out the NIV, the ESV bible which is one of the worse offenders of leaving out sentences and words and changing the meaning of verses, of course, the Catholic version of their bibles with the added books..here is a list of different bibles and they all are different and this is dangerous..for in Deuteronomy 4:2 An Exhortation to Obedience
1″Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I am teaching you to perform, so that you may live and go in and take possession of the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you. 2″You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command in Proverbs 30:6 you will see another command not to change words
…5Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. 6Do not add to His words Or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar. and of course in Revelation Chapter 22
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.
Here is a list of bibles now that have come upon the scene like a plague of locuses…this is dangerous for only in the KJV and the N.A. S bible will you get fully fed.
