So how did Judas die?

Skeptics argue that this verse, Acts 1:18, contradicts Matt. 27:5, which says that Judas “went and hanged himself.” So how did Judas die?

Note that this verse doesn’t state how he died; it just mentions what happened to his body. So there is no contradiction. The body begins to decompose shortly after death, and one exposed to air will decompose even more quickly. It seems that Judas’s dead body was left hanging, and fell because of decomposition. This seems very clear in that we are told that his “entrails gushed out.”

Acts 1:18 Now this man purchased a field with the wages of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his entrails gushed out.
