Psalm 58:10,11. Skeptics argue that these verses contradict Prov. 24:16–18: “Do not rejoice when your enemy falls…” The context of these verses is God’s judgment of the wicked. There is a big difference between rejoicing when misfortune comes and when justice is eventually done.
Psalm 58:10 The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance; He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked,11 So that men will say, Surely there is a reward for the righteous; Surely He is God who judges in the earth.
