Holy Spirit.

Have you received the Holy Spirit (been born again)? If so, then you have been given power to witness and been sent into all the world to share the gospel.

“If a person is filled with the Holy Spirit, his witness will not be optional or mandatory—it will be inevitable.” Richard Halverson

Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Wrong again Ray strikes out again. 😉

Ray quotes Acts 1:8 but neglects to put the words in context. To whom are these words addressed? Why the apostles of course. So Jesus is saying that THE APOSTLES [not all believers] will be filled with the Holy Spirit.

But let’s say Ray’s strange interpretation is correct. Then every believer should, once he receives the Holy Spirit, find himself witnessing in Jerusalem and Samaria. How many times has Ray witnessed in Samaria do you think? 🙂

Of course Jesus meant no such thing. Since Jesus was speaking to the apostles then their witnessing in “Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” makes perfect sense. But only as long as we reject wrong again Ray’s interpretation.
